- fasten without drilling, with nails and plaster plugs
- designed for hollow walls, plasterwork, wooden walls and gypsum walls
- the brackets are equipped with a lock to prevent the TV from coming loose from the wall bracket

Not every TV can be mounted on a plaster wall

Plasterboard walls often consist of thin plasterboard (18mm) built against a frame of wood or metal. Also called: CLS or metal stud frame. A quick and relatively cheap way to place a partition wall. A metal frame behind a plasterboard is relatively weak, we advise not to hang a bracket on it without further ado unless the wall is reinforced. If the wall consists of a wooden frame, this is more solid.

An 18mm plasterboard does not provide much grip in the middle of the board. If you want to mount a TV on such a wall, you can do this in the following two ways.

TV bracket plaster wall reinforced
  1. You know where the support of the underlying frame is. Usually a frame is built with a rule distance of 60 or 30 centimeters. At these points you can turn a screw into the wall which then has a hold. (knocking on the wall and measuring can help)
  2. You don't know where to hold, you can use one of the plaster wall brackets that are specifically marketed for this type of wall. By means of the supplied mounting materials you can distribute the load-bearing weight of the bracket on the wall

Can I mount a swivel and tilt wall bracket on a plaster wall?

This question can be answered with yes and no. Look, if you know where the internal frame runs, then you could screw a tilting wall bracket on there. Keep in mind that the leverage at that point on the wall is great. The longer the arm of the bracket, the greater the force. If the wall is not double (double plaster) or super sturdy, we will not advise this.

Generally speaking, only a flat wall bracket is suitable for mounting on a plaster wall. This is because the load-bearing weight of the bracket is firmly attached to the wall. By using a lot of screws, nails and plugs, you distribute the load-bearing weight over the width and, for example, a 65 inch TV can hang perfectly.

Step-by-step plan for mounting to a plaster wall

  1. Investigate what the wall is made of.
    Plasterboard, wooden or metal frame
  2. Find and measure the distance of the frame in the wall.
(distance of 30 or 60 cm)
  3. Order a wide wall bracket to distribute the weight on the wall.
  4. Use the supplied mounting materials to hang the TV bracket.
  5. Always read the assembly instructions carefully.
  6. If in doubt, consult a specialist.

What can a plaster wall look like?

Here is a picture of how a plaster wall can be constructed. The plasterboards are 60cm or 120cm wide. Behind you have the frame which has uprights at 30cm or 60cm.
Depending on the function of the wall. So it is the coast to find support in the wooden uprights.
