    TCL: a big screen is no longer only for those with a huge budget

    An 85-, 98- or even 100-inch TCL in the living room? That no longer sounds particularly exceptional. TCL has made large televisions accessible to a much wider audience, and the picture quality of today's screens is impressive.

    And the great thing is that the TV itself has meanwhile become much more than a screen with a remote control. Connect to Wi-Fi, open your streaming apps and watch. Netflix, YouTube, streaming services and other apps are simply built into the Smart TV environment. Development is moving incredibly fast.

    TCL is no longer a small player

    Anyone who still sees TCL as an unknown TV brand has not been paying close attention in recent years. When we walked around IFA last September, TCL had a major presence. Not just with televisions, but with all kinds of new applications involving displays.

    What stood out to us most? Naturally, the extra-large screens. But also displays that almost look like paintings, glasses incorporating display technology and cameras, and concepts showing that a screen may soon have many more places in the home than just the wall opposite the sofa.

    A transparent screen beside your bed?

    One of these applications nicely shows where the technology is heading: a mobile transparent screen that could, for example, be placed in a bedroom. Not just for watching videos, but also as subtle lighting, with time and weather information, or even a calming image such as a deep-sea aquarium. These are exactly the kinds of developments that make trade shows like IFA so interesting to us.

    Of course, not all of these trade-show concepts are available today as regular TCL TVs in every store. But they do show how quickly display technology is developing and how broadly TCL now views displays.

    Mounting a 100-inch TCL requires a serious wall mount

    The larger the screen, the more important the wall mount becomes. With a 100-inch television, you do not just look at VESA and the number of kilograms. The width of the wall plate, the number of mounting points and the construction of the wall also become important.

    Do you want such a large TCL screen mounted flush against the wall? Then we prefer a wide, heavy-duty fixed mount that distributes the load properly across the wall. If you also want to swivel the screen or pull it forward, you will need one of our heavy-duty full-motion models. After all, a large TV that extends 60 or 100 cm forward creates much more leverage on the wall.

    Which VESA size does your TCL have?

    Always check the exact TCL model. The four mounting holes on the back of the TV together determine the VESA size, for example 400x400, 600x400 or a larger size for very large screens. Match that VESA size with the weight and screen size of your television.
