When you want to mount a television, there are several factors to consider. To assist you as best as possible, we provide a description of the most common situations.
With every TV bracket we send, bolts and nuts are included so you can attach the TV bracket to your television. The TV brackets are also supplied with screws and wall plugs to mount the bracket to the wall. The included plugs are suitable for stone and concrete walls. The included screws usually fit. However, it may happen that your television has different dimensions and the bolts do not fit. If this is the case, you can purchase the correct screws and plugs at your local hardware store.
Different types of walls
Buildings have different types of walls. Some walls are more suitable for mounting TV brackets than others. Concrete or stone walls are almost always suitable for mounting a TV bracket. If you want to hang a TV bracket on a drywall, it is important to use special plugs for this. These plugs are not included but are available at your local hardware store.
Mounting a television on a hollow drywall
Hollow drywall consists of a wooden frame covered with plasterboard. When you want to hang a TV bracket on this type of wall, it is important to attach the bracket to the wooden frame behind the wall.
Mounting a television on an aerated concrete wall
If you want to mount a TV bracket on an aerated concrete wall, it is important to use screws that are almost the same length as the thickness of the wall, so the bracket remains securely attached.
Note!
For a drywall and an aerated concrete wall, we recommend choosing a TV bracket that mounts flat against the wall. Telescopic TV brackets pull the television further away from the wall, which places more weight on the wall. Drywalls and aerated concrete walls are generally not suitable for this.
