    LG OLED on the wall: beautiful, but handle the screen with care

    An LG OLED looks so good precisely because the panel is extremely thin. Mounting it on a good wall mount makes that design stand out even more. With a swiveling mount, there are two things we pay extra attention to.

    Do not pull on the thin screen

    Never use the corners of an OLED as handles to turn the TV. This puts force on a panel that was not designed for it. Preferably hold the television low down and as close as possible to the sturdy section, and let the arms of the wall mount do the work.

    VESA is often positioned low on OLED TVs

    On many LG OLED models, the thicker section containing the electronics is located at the bottom. As a result, the VESA connection is also often lower than the center of the screen. This creates a different weight distribution than with a traditional TV.

    With a tilting full-motion wall mount, the upper part can therefore act as a lever and pull the screen slightly forward. Is the TV sagging? Do not force it back. Adjust the mount head correctly and check whether the tilt mechanism is suitable for this combination.
