    A ceiling mount allows you to suspend a television when wall mounting is not desirable or when you want to view the screen from a specific location.     How to choose a suitable ceiling mount

    First, measure your TV's VESA size and check its weight. Then determine whether you want to swivel or tilt the TV, how low the screen should hang and whether the selected model is suitable for your ceiling. Not every ceiling mount can be installed on a sloped ceiling.

    Which ceiling mount is right for your viewing position?

    A ceiling mount for a TV up to 55 inches can be a solution when you do not have a free wall or want to view the screen from different positions. Depending on the model, you can adjust the mounting height or swivel and tilt the television. First determine where you watch from, then measure the desired distance between the ceiling and the screen. For a sloped ceiling, explicitly check that the mount is suitable for this application.

    Remember that the maximum screen size is not the only selection criterion. The VESA size, weight and space for connections behind the TV must also be compatible.

    Installation, cables and viewing height

    Proper ceiling installation starts with the substrate. A plasterboard ceiling alone generally does not provide sufficient support; the mount must be attached to a suitable load-bearing structure. Check the installation manual for the required mounting hardware. Also plan the route of the power and HDMI cables. If the TV can swivel, the cables must have enough slack without rubbing against moving parts.
