Why choose a sliding door instead of a hinged door?
A traditional door requires quite a lot of clearance. As soon as the door is opened, it describes a large arc in which no cabinet, desk, shelving unit, or other object can be placed.
This can be impractical, especially in smaller spaces.
A sliding door works differently. The door hangs from two sturdy hangers at the top and rolls over a horizontal rail via bearing-mounted wheels. Instead of swinging into the room, the entire door slides along the wall.
This allows you to use the available space much more efficiently.

2-metre-long steel sliding door rail
The top rail consists of two matte black steel rail sections that are connected during installation.
After installation, this creates one sliding door rail with a total length of 200 cm.
The black rail remains visible after installation and, together with the large black rollers, forms an important part of the system's appearance.
Smooth bearing-mounted rollers
The door is suspended from two sturdy matte black steel hangers.
Above each hanger is a bearing-mounted roller. These wheels run along the top of the steel rail and ensure that the door can move smoothly from left to right.
This means you do not have to lift or pull open a large door every time, as with some simple sliding systems. The door rolls along the rail.
Door stops determine where the door stops
Door stops are installed at both ends of the rail.
This allows you to determine the final position of the sliding door yourself. The door therefore cannot continue rolling along the rail uncontrollably.
During installation, adjust the door stops to the desired position.
Floor guide keeps the door straight
Top guidance alone is not sufficient for a large sliding door. The bottom of the door could then move forwards and backwards.
That is why the Wolff Mount system also includes a floor guide.
This keeps the bottom of the door in place while opening and closing, so that the door continues to move neatly along the same line.
Protection against coming off the rail
Locking/safety components are also attached to the top of the door.
These prevent the door from moving upwards unintentionally during normal use and coming off the rail. Their function is also explained in the included installation manual.

Installing the sliding door system
Before you start installing, it is important to first determine whether the wall, door, and mounting materials are suitable.
The rail is mounted to the wall above the doorway. The two hangers are then mounted on the door, after which the door can be hung from the rail using the bearing-mounted wheels.
The floor guide, safety components, and door stops are then installed and adjusted.
According to the installation instructions, the rail height is determined based on approximately door height + 40 mm.
Always read the complete included installation manual before installation.
Pay close attention to the mounting surface
A sliding door hangs with its entire weight from the top rail. Correctly securing the rail to a sufficiently strong structure is therefore essential.
Before installation, check whether the wall is suitable for supporting both the sliding door system and the selected door.
Examples of suitable structural surfaces include a sturdy brick or concrete wall. Always use plugs and mounting materials suitable for the wall in question.
Direct installation onto plasterboard or a hollow wall is not recommended.
Are you unsure about the structure or mounting method? Have the situation assessed beforehand by someone with sufficient construction expertise.
Basic mounting materials included
The sliding door system includes a basic set of screws and mounting materials.
Because walls can differ significantly, it cannot be guaranteed that the included mounting materials are suitable for every situation.
For example, a concrete wall requires different mounting hardware than certain types of stone or wood.
Therefore, always check before installation whether the included mounting materials are suitable for your specific wall and door.
